Holmes Regional Tourism Project

Welcome to the Holmes 4th Grade Regional Tourism Project Blog! This is the place for Project Managers to keep informed about the regions project. If you are checking this blog on your own, you are on top of things! Good job.

How to Use This Blog:
The purpose of the blog is to share information, ideas and questions. It is also a good place to create a list of links and good resources.

The first task is to help create a list of information about your role, group, and region. If you do not know the answer to these questions yet, you can also indicate that on the form, but please remember to find the information out fairly soon.

At the end of the day, the information received on the form will be wordled, in order to see who is already checking in. Great job and thanks for checking! -blogmaster

Here is the Social Studies Regions Project Description:
Objective:
  • Your group has been selected to increase tourism to a specific region of the United States. Considering difficult financial times, gear your marketing to average Americans looking for a good value.
  • By working together as a team, you’ll create a final PowerPoint presentation, which will attract tourists to your assigned region. Your team will have two managers, two copywriters, two researchers, and two graphic designers.
  • Every successful advertising/marketing company needs a catchy name and attractive logo. Your group will create a company name and logo for itself.
  • As in every company, there will be meetings with members of your team to discuss ideas, resolve problems, and create the final presentation.

Hi I'm a copywriter at Holmes School, exactly how do I check if other people didn't take my company's logo?

You can use the search feature in Google to check for plagiarism. It is easy to check for plagiarism.

If you want to check text, copy and paste 2 or 3 lines of your text into the search box. If the article is plagiarized, it will appear in the Google results.

If you want to check an image, type you search terms into the box, then select "images". -blogmaster

Hi, this is Elizabeth Schneider.

I noticed you were looking for collaborators and wanted to participate in the Holmes Regional Tourism project. Although we were very interested in the assignment as it was written, we were unable to contribute to the project the way it was designed because of time constraints. However, we put an informational photo story together to share information about our region with you.

We look forward to learning more about your region, too.

Thanks again,
